Cozy Horror? What are you writing?
Sep 26, 2022 Season 1 Episode 6
The Author Wheel

Cozy Horror? Is that a thing?

How well do you understand your genre?

Genre is the broad category where your books would be shelved in the physical bookstores. Sub-genre is the narrow niche category of books as they're grouped on ebook retailers, often defined by tropes, protagonist age, and writing style.

Why should you care?

In this episode, Greta and Megan take a deep dive into story genre, and how it affects your story structure and craft. We talk about why you have to know your specific sub-genre, how to do your research, and how to find clarity for your story.

Final Question: What are you writing? Have you identified your target reader? Let's chat on the Facebook page @AuthorWheel!

LIMITED TIME SPECIAL PROMOTION AVAILABLE 9/27/22 - 10/4/22
This week we have an extra special offer to share.

We recently joined up with the team over at Infostack.io.

Infostack is the leading online deal site for hand-curated collections of premium books, courses, and services that give you lifetime-access to thousands of dollars worth of resources for up to 99% off.

From Tuesday September 27 through Tuesday October 4, they’re having a flash sale on one of their most popular bundles, the Write Publish Profit 5.0 stack.

In it, you’ll find:

  • Chart-topping ebooks to help you build your author brand and sell more books,
  • Full-length ecourses designed to help you plan, write, edit, self-publish and promote your work, AND
  • In-depth guidance from NYT bestselling authors, publishers, coaches, and editors.

The stack includes our signature course, Self-Publish or Get an Agent, How to choose the publishing path that’s right for you.

If you were going to purchase all these resources separately, it would cost over $5,000, but you can get everything bundled together for just $49.

We sell our course alone for $79.99, but if you purchase the stack you’ll get free access for life.

We think this is a fantastic deal. If you want in, click here.

Note: By purchasing through our link, we’ll get a small affiliate fee which does not affect your purchase price, but we really appreciate your support!
